Tuscaloosa

Sounds like everyone had a great time once again in T'town. The weather couldn't have been nicer. Scanning the results, it appears that some regulars didn't show and some new faces appeared. This should shake up the series points a bit and make it more interesting.

The results should be up today. If you have photos, send them to marshallbrent at gmail dot com

Great course, rough and challenging. It ate up tires for lunch.

Results???

tell me about the course and you're overall experience at the race and I'll give you the results

Good course, Good fun, 2 flats cold beer. My experience was a mini duathlon since I ran a total of one lap and rode 5.
Don't break your neck over results. If you didn't win does it matter? Isn't it more important to know that you tried your best and whatever happens happens? Maybe checking the results prior to leaving the venue would be a good idea.
Thanks to Gina and the Velocity crew for a good time.
See yall in the Ham!

I see that the Anniston flyer is up now. Looks like it will be a blast. Bring it!

The course was so much better than last year in the "Big Field". I still have all my fillings! I really enjoyed the race and now realize that I need to find a decent set of brakes that actually work. Wig, those flats were payback for $200 in tires that Anniston cost me last year. I already know how the individual scores played out, I just wanna see the team standings.

that was a bit of a joke. Gina did a great job of getting me the results the night of the race. They are in the process of being transferred to the bamacross master sheet and will then be sent to webdude to upload. it's a bit of a tedious process, but, i have some great people making it happen. just be patient and they will be up soon. i will say that i was glad to see that you finished so well, Trent!

Never take me serious especially when I'm on your wheel. Just trying to stimulate some conversation. Annivegas will be a good time and challenging course (under the lights). I've recieved inquiries from MS,TN and GA. GA has st. champs. Sun and TN has a pretty big race as well so we'll see.

Can someone clue me into gearing for a SS cross bike? Also how many SS crossers are showing up at these races? Is there a seperate catagory?

There is no separate SS category in Bamacross. I think there are a handful racing SS bikes this year? For overall tips on racing SS cross (including gearing) check this out:

Better to gear too low than too high IMO. If you ever spin out at least you can rest your legs while coasting.

I finally got the results done yesterday (bear with me, oh eager racerboyz!), and check out the team standings: neck-and-neck between BooKoo and ICS Chain Reaction!

Brent - I thought you were gonna name the new baby Wig?
Congrats to you and the family. I'm cracking open a Hefe Weizen right now to celebrate!

Dangit no weather for Heardmont. Today's rain might make staking the course a little easier, tho.
