George Ward Park

This may be the best cross venue in bham when this happens. There is already a smokin' cross course spray painted through the park if you happen to go out there. This is a course that I'm planning to do next year. The added paved trails will be great for tempo sections. I think some of the proposed paved areas are already in place, but are broken cobblestone. George Ward is a big enough park to host a national event as well.

George Ward also has a frolf course, so that should be worked in somehow.

Latest NWS forecast for States:

Montgomery AL
Sunday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 73.

Maybe we'll finally get enough mud on the course that we have to wipe off the front of our shirt upon finishing so the sponsor gets kudos - wouldn't that be cool :-)!?

Doesn't look like there'll be mud, at least by natural means.

Just pain.

NOTICE TO ALL RACERS COMING TO THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN MONTGOMERY FROM TEAM CYCLE_ESCAPE the course is READY! FIRST A BIG THANKS for our friends from team ICS-Chain reaction for all the help they provided, would have been tough to do it without them! Great news (or bad depending on what you like) there is water flowing through the bog! Be ready for ...thick leg sucking grass, gravel road, pavement, off camber sections, mud pit and FUN.
Looking forward to seeing all tomorrow and hope all have the kind of race they want.
