revisions

Looks like we are going to scratch the Clanton deal in September and Avondale will probably see a venue change.

As the season grows close, logistics begin to reign over fluff. Therefore, to further concentrate on the points races and getting the details right, we are going to scratch the season opening Clanton deal. Those boys have their hands full this season as they are taking over the Montgomery race in addition to their fine Cooter's Pond event. Expect nothing but the best from those two events this year.

Avondale Park is getting a facelift this year, which is a good thing. The masterplan looks great and hopefully when completed will give us an even better venue than before with some modern conveniences like bathrooms and ample parking. I can't get a straight answer from anyone involved on when construction will begin and living by Murphy's Law... So, I'm searching for a good replacement in the metro area.

Stay tuned.

Won't miss Avondale. How about G. Ward or Barber's?

Is Red Mtn Park ready yet? Oak Mtn State Park might work - at the end of Terrace Drive where there is a field and the adjoining parking lot where the Bump n Grind finish line was - plus maybe a stretch of trail next to the parking lot or that bunny trail nearby...

Sweet Mother of Cyclocross! Only 7 races instead of 8. Bring the noise at the races that count. Clanton was a good idea but we can be social at the end of regular races.
