I had a request a few months ago to split the team competition into gender specific categories. This seems like a good idea as not many teams are represented on both sides equally. So, 2009 will have 2 divisions for the team prize, Men's and Women's...may the battle be fierce.

Still wish you would do the women's 4's as a 30 minute race.
Still not enough women showing up to our races to split. If the numbers went up I would consider...but, I don't think the girls would enjoy 2-3 person races. Lumping them together grows the pack and makes it a race and also gives the cat 4 girls a taste of what it takes to move up.
If 15 additional minutes of racing is the excuse given for not racing, I would assume that's not really the reason.
I think it may be the reason that the new ones don't try it or do try and don't stick with it.
they see the men's 4's going 30 min and don't understand why they have to go 45.
They can all go out at the same time, just have the 4's finish at 30 min.
o.k., I tell you what I'll monitor the comments on this post until 9/15. Instead of guys debating what to do with the girls, let's hear from the girls.
I'll take the majority of the votes from the girls and make a decision.
Fair enough? That's not to say that the scoring officials won't override that decision. Having one race with two durations may not be acceptable.
What about a mixed team division as well?
And is it just too cluttered on course to mix the Mens CX4 with the womens CX4?
we used to mix the women 4's with the men. the problem is that we would have 1-2 women racing 1/2/3, which isn't much fun. some of the women 4's complained about the men 4's getting in the way...
are any women gonna speak up?
